Hebbal Flyover's Second Loop to Open by November 2025

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has announced that the second loop of the Hebbal flyover—connecting Esteem Mall to Mekhri Circle—will be operational by November 2025.

The ₹300 crore project is part of a broader effort to decongest one of Bengaluru’s most notorious traffic choke points. One new loop, connecting Outer Ring Road to Bellary Road, has already been inaugurated at a cost of ₹80 crore. “With the addition of these new loops, the number of lanes on the Hebbal flyover has increased from two to six,” said the Deputy CM, noting that the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) Chairman has been directed to ensure timely completion of the final loop.

Shivakumar also announced plans for a 1.5-km tunnel road from Esteem Mall to Baptist Hospital and confirmed that tenders have been floated for a major 16.5-km tunnel road between Hebbal and Silk Board, estimated at ₹17,000 crore.

These initiatives aim to significantly improve mobility and reduce traffic congestion across key stretches of the city.
