The Visakhapatnam Port Trust has issued a call for bids to secure Detailed Project Report (DPR) consultancy services for the second phase of its truck parking terminal expansion at Visakhapatnam Port, Andhra Pradesh. The initiative aims to enhance the port's infrastructure and improve logistical efficiency.
The selected consultancy firm will be tasked with a comprehensive range of responsibilities, including preparing a feasibility report, DPR, and techno-economic feasibility report (TEFR). They will also need to develop a financial model for the chosen location, produce detailed engineering designs and cost estimates, and create a revenue model and project structure.
Moreover, the firm will provide project management consultancy (PMC) services during the execution phase, which includes supervising on-site work, quality control, and offering solutions to any challenges that arise until the project reaches completion.
The deadline for bid submissions is set for September 3, 2024. The expansion of the truck parking terminal is a critical part of the port's broader strategy to bolster its operational capabilities and accommodate increasing traffic.
