Chitrakiran Gives Bio-Medical Waste a Green Thumb in Madhya Pradesh

The initiative by Chitrakiran Waste Management Private Limited to establish a Common Bio-Medical Waste Treatment Facility in Atrari Gurh, Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, reflects a commendable step toward responsible biomedical waste disposal. With a project cost of 3.40 Crores and spanning across 1.21 hectares (4988 sq. m.), the facility is well-equipped with essential equipment like incinerators, autoclaves, shredders, and a chemical disinfection tank.

The facility's setup, including a 250 kg/hr incinerator, a 1200 L/batch autoclave, a 100 kg/hr shredder, and a 1500 L chemical disinfection tank, signifies its capability to manage diverse types of biomedical waste efficiently. Moreover, the incorporation of an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) with a capacity of 20.0 KLD ensures the appropriate treatment of wastewater generated during the waste treatment process, emphasizing environmental sustainability.

Situated in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, this project holds promise in meeting the demand for proper biomedical waste management infrastructure in the region. Its potential to enhance public health and environmental safety underscores its significance as a pivotal measure in addressing the critical need for responsible biomedical waste disposal practices.

As on December,2023. The project is now in the stage of construction being started. The completion of the project's work has reached the 50% mark. The work on the project will be finished by December of 2024.
