Nishitetsu Lands in Kurla: ₹2,000 Cr. Office Project with Runwal

Japanese conglomerate Nishitetsu has partnered with Runwal Enterprises to develop a ₹2,000-crore commercial real estate project in Kurla, Mumbai, located near the Bandra-Kurla Complex.

The collaboration will deliver a Grade-A office tower spanning over 3,10,000 sq. ft. This marks Nishitetsu’s first office development outside Japan, aligning with its strategy to expand across Asia’s urban real estate markets. The project also includes participation from Route78 Partners and Genkai Capital Secured Investment, aimed at channeling institutional capital into Indian assets.

The partnership strengthens Runwal Enterprises’ presence in the premium commercial segment, following its evolution from affordable housing into luxury and high-end developments.

“This marks our first participation in an overseas rental office development project,” the Fukuoka-based conglomerate stated. “As part of our 16th Medium-Term Management Plan, we are focused on expanding profits from our overseas real estate business. We will continue working toward broadening our global real estate footprint and building expertise to contribute to sustainable urban development abroad.”
