Reliance Drives Tamil Nadu's Tech Leap with Data Center, 5G Powerhouse

Reliance Industries has forged a strategic alliance with Brookfield Asset Management from Canada and Digital Realty based in the United States to establish a cutting-edge data center in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Scheduled to inaugurate next week, this initiative marks a significant step towards fostering technological infrastructure.

Demonstrating a commitment to sustainable practices, Reliance Industries plans to channel fresh investments into the region, particularly in renewable energy and green hydrogen. Collaborating closely with the state government, these entities aim to propel sustainable development initiatives.

The company has demonstrated its dedication to the region through substantial investments, boasting a network of nearly 1,300 retail stores with a cumulative investment exceeding Rs 25,000 crore. Additionally, Reliance Jio has injected over Rs 35,000 crore into various projects in the state.

In a groundbreaking achievement last December, Jio accomplished the world's fastest 5G rollout, positioning Tamil Nadu at the forefront of the global technological landscape. This milestone not only empowers the region with the advantages of artificial intelligence but also paves the way for the integration of revolutionary technologies associated with the fourth industrial revolution.
