Indkal Technologies has entered the smartphone market with its new “Wobble” brand, backed by an initial investment of Rs 225 crore.
The company’s first offering, the Wobble One, features a 50MP OIS main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and is powered by a MediaTek chipset. The device will be available on Amazon starting the first week of December. According to Indkal CEO Anand Dubey, the company has invested heavily in R&D, marketing, and after-sales service, aiming to meet the needs of diverse customer segments.
The Wobble One will come in three variants:
8GB RAM / 128GB storage, 8GB RAM / 256GB storage, 12GB RAM / 256GB storage
Indkal also plans to introduce higher-end smartphones priced in the Rs 30,000–40,000 range. While the Wobble One’s design is partly developed in India and key components like the display and battery are sourced locally, the chipset is imported.
