National Fertilizers (NFL) will participate in a joint venture to set up a new ammonia-urea plant in Namrup, Assam. The company’s board has approved the Department of Fertilizers' proposal for NFL to take an 18% equity stake in the venture. The new facility, called the Namrup IV Fertilizer Plant, is projected to have an annual production capacity of 1.27 million tonnes, as highlighted in the government's Budget.
