Odisha Seeks Bids for India's First Ash Coal-to-Ammonium Nitrate Plant

Projects & Development India (PDIL) has issued a call for bids for the construction of a syngas purification plant as part of the establishment of a high ash coal to ammonium nitrate plant in the Lakhanpur area of Mahanadi Coalfields, situated in Jharsuguda district, Odisha. This invitation is extended for lumpsum turnkey (LSTK) contracts.

The selected LSTK contractor will be responsible for a comprehensive array of tasks, including the supply of process licenses, basic design, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, storage, construction, and erection of all civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works. Moreover, the contractor will oversee assembly, installation, statutory approvals, testing, commissioning, and performance guarantee tests.

Furthermore, the scope of the project encompasses 120 months of operation and maintenance (O&M) services, total project management, and the transfer of the syngas purification plant and its associated facilities upon completion.

Interested parties are required to submit their bids by the deadline of 26 August 2024, signaling a crucial milestone in the progression of this significant industrial endeavor.
