PTC India & NLC Power Up: 2,000 MW Green Energy Blitz

PTC India has entered into a joint venture with NLC India Renewables, a wholly owned subsidiary of NLC India, to develop green energy projects with a total potential capacity of up to 2,000 MW.

The partnership will initially target around 500 MW in its first phase and will focus on the development of utility-scale solar, wind and hybrid renewable energy projects across India. The joint venture combines PTC India’s expertise in power trading, market access and commercial structuring with NLC India’s capabilities in project development and renewable energy park creation.

In addition to project development, the JV will be responsible for the establishment, operation and maintenance of assets spanning solar, wind, hydro, battery energy storage systems, green ammonia and other emerging green energy technologies. Power generated from these projects will be sold through a mix of competitive and regulated routes, serving DISCOMs, government agencies, and commercial and industrial consumers.

According to the company, the collaboration will enable both partners to leverage their complementary strengths to deliver integrated green energy solutions and accelerate the expansion of renewable capacity in the country.
