TPREL Lights Up Tata Communications with 105 Crore Solar Project

Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL) has finalized an agreement valued at Rs 105 crore with Tata Communications to establish an 18.75 MW captive solar facility in Maharashtra.

Strategically positioned in Aachegaon, this facility is anticipated to yield approximately 40 million units (MUs) of electricity while mitigating over 30,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually. TPREL has entered into a power delivery agreement (PDA) with Tata Communications, supporting their shift towards renewable energy and facilitating their advancement within the digital ecosystem, positioning them as a front-runner in the communication technology sector.

TPREL's tailored green energy solutions, including group captive solar, are poised to reduce operational expenditures while enhancing energy efficiency. The power purchase agreements (PPAs) encompass a diverse array of industries, ranging from steel and polystyrene to mining, iron casting, manufacturing, hospitality, and automotive sectors, among others.

TPREL, a subsidiary of Tata Power, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing a capacity of over 1.5 GW in group captive projects, marking a notable advancement in its renewable energy endeavors.
