KPTCL Invites Bids for Bengaluru's 220kV Transmission Network Upgrade

Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation (KPTCL) has invited bids to strengthen the inner ring of Bengaluru’s 220 kV transmission network.

The project, valued at ₹249.04 crore, has a 24-month completion timeline and includes underground (UG) cable installation, civil works, testing, and commissioning on a turnkey basis.

The scope covers:

• Laying 220 kV, 1200 sq. mm UG cable from 400/220 kV Hoody to 220/66 kV EDC substation (13.93 km).
• Laying 220 kV, 1200 sq. mm UG cable from 220/66 kV Koramangala to 220/66 kV EDC substation (4.683 km).

The deadline for bid submission is April 14, 2025.
