Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL) has announced a major tender for the construction of roadbed, minor bridges, and associated infrastructure on the Indore-Budni section of the Bhopal Division, West Central Railway in Madhya Pradesh. The project, categorized under Package 1B, encompasses a comprehensive scope of work aimed at enhancing the new broad gauge (BG) line between Kheri (excluding) and Pipaliya Nankar station, spanning chainages 57.400 to 129.000 km.
The tender involves the development of roadbed, minor bridges, and buildings, as well as the installation of tracks, excluding rails, sleepers, and thick web switches. It also includes various civil engineering and general electrical works, designed to support the expansion and modernization of the railway infrastructure in this crucial region.
With a contract value set at ₹1,021.59 crore, this project represents a significant investment in the region’s rail infrastructure. The deadline for bid submissions is 25 September 2024.
This development is expected to bolster the efficiency and capacity of the rail network, supporting economic growth and improving connectivity within Madhya Pradesh. The expanded infrastructure will enhance the operational capabilities of the West Central Railway and benefit regional transport.
