Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Dr. P. Narayana announced that all TIDCO houses across the state will be completed and handed over to beneficiaries by March 2026.
During an inspection of the Jagannathagattu TIDCO colony in Kurnool, the Minister confirmed that construction had resumed in all 163 townships, with a commitment to provide world-class infrastructure and ensure no eligible family is left without a home.
Dr. Narayana highlighted that under the previous regime, 7 lakh TIDCO houses were sanctioned, with approvals for 5 lakh and tenders issued for 4.74 lakh. He credited Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for introducing shear wall technology, enhancing the durability, affordability, and earthquake resistance of the homes.
He also announced a grant of ₹6 crore for the immediate development of the Jagannathagattu colony and the allocation of 10 acres for an upcoming MSME park, expected to create 1,000 job opportunities. Emphasizing speed and quality, the Minister underscored plans to enhance amenities, promote sustainable township development, and ensure transparent allotment of homes.
