Following the tendering process and contractor selection, the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) is set to launch major infrastructure work on the 6.4-km Nashik-Pune highway stretch following Diwali.
Commanded by NMC Commissioner Manisha Khatri, civic teams are expediting utility relocation and removing unauthorized roadside structures. The ₹221 crore project will expand the carriageway width from 25 metres to approximately 45 metres, accommodating a 6-lane main road with dedicated 2-lane service roads. This upgrade is designed to resolve bottlenecking at Dwarka Circle and streamline travel towards Sinnar, Shirdi, and Pune.
