NHPC Seeks Solar Power Players: Bid Opens for 1.2 GW Solar PV Projects

NHPC has called for bids to select solar power generators (SPGs) for establishing 1200 MW (1.2 GW) interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power projects anywhere in India through tariff-based competitive bidding. The chosen SPG will be responsible for setting up the solar PV power projects, including the dedicated transmission network up to the interconnection/delivery point, and securing all necessary approvals, permits, and clearances from state and local authorities.

The selected SPGs will generate solar power from their respective PV power projects for NHPC. The deadline for submitting bids is 29 June, 2024.
