Jakson Engineers Invests Rs 2,000 Cr in Solar Cell Facility

Jakson Engineers (JEL), part of the Jakson Group, has announced a Rs 2,000 crore investment to expand its solar manufacturing capabilities. The company plans to build a 2,500 MW solar cell facility and increase its module manufacturing capacity to 2,000 MW, with both developments taking place in two phases.

This expansion will play a key role in addressing the rising demand for solar energy solutions in India. By incorporating TOPCON technology, JEL aims to produce high-efficiency and reliable solar products, driving innovation and sustainability in the solar sector.

The first phase of the solar cell facility is expected to be operational in 15 months, while the module plant expansion is set to complete in six months. These initiatives will add 1,200 jobs to the region, supporting local employment and economic growth.

JEL’s investment reflects its commitment to advancing sustainable energy and aligns with India's larger goal of increasing renewable energy capacity. The company aims to become a 5,000 MW integrated manufacturer of solar wafers, cells, and modules.

This major expansion underscores JEL's dedication to helping India achieve its net-zero emissions targets, further positioning the company as a key player in the renewable energy industry.
