Emmvee Expands Production Capacity to 6.6 GW with New Bengaluru Plant

Emmvee, a leading manufacturer of high-quality solar photovoltaic panels and modules, has inaugurated a new manufacturing facility in Sulibele, near Bengaluru International Airport, Karnataka.

This expansion adds 2.0 GWp to Emmvee’s production line, bringing its total module capacity to approximately 6.6 GWp and solar cell capacity to 2.5 GWp—strengthening its position in India’s renewable energy sector. The new facility spans nearly 4 lakh square feet and will employ over 500 new professionals across engineering, operations, management, and administration, as shared by Chairman and Managing Director, DV Manjunatha.

With this growth, Emmvee’s workforce will surpass 2,000 employees. The plant is equipped with advanced automation and stringent quality controls, enabling the production of diverse module sizes and formats in line with global standards.

This development is part of Emmvee’s broader vision to invest ₹15,000 crore in Karnataka over multiple phases. In Phase 1, the company will invest ₹5,000 crore to establish a 5 GW power generation capacity, projected to create around 10,000 jobs. Emmvee has also proposed acquiring 120 acres within the Bengaluru IT Investment Region (ITIR), currently under government review.

As India accelerates its renewable energy goals, Emmvee’s expansion marks a significant step toward enhancing domestic solar manufacturing and driving regional innovation and employment.
