In a major milestone for Maharashtra’s industrial growth, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has officially taken possession of 800 acres of land in the Additional Butibori industrial area near Nagpur. The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) handed over the possession within just six months of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at Advantage Vidarbha 2026.
Out of a total 1,500-acre allotment, this greenfield facility represents an investment exceeding ₹15,000 crore. Slated to begin operations in 2028, the integrated automobile and tractor manufacturing plant is projected to create over 20,000 direct jobs. At full capacity, the facility will produce more than 500,000 vehicles and 100,000 tractors annually.
