AABL Enters Kerala with ₹30.85 Cr Acquisition of SDF Industries

Associated Alcohols & Breweries Limited (AABL) has received approval from the National Company Law Tribunal, Kochi Bench, to acquire SDF Industries Limited, a distillery-cum-bottling unit located in Thrissur, for ₹30.85 crore. The tribunal issued its order on April 16, 2026, with the company announcing the development subsequently.

Upon completion of the transaction, SDF Industries will become a wholly owned subsidiary of AABL. The company plans to begin operations at the facility by September 2026 after carrying out required technology upgrades.

SDF Industries currently has an Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) bottling capacity of about 3.60 lakh cases per year and holds an Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) distillery licence with an annual capacity of 75 lakh litres. The facility spans roughly 10 acres on the Thrissur–Palakkad border, a location the company views as strategically beneficial for distribution across Kerala.
