Bhoramdev Reborn: A ₹148 Crore Vision for Chhattisgarh’s Pride

The long-awaited development of the 1,000-year-old Bhoramdev Temple corridor in Chhattisgarh has officially commenced with the laying of the foundation stone for projects valued at ₹148 crore.

Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat stated that the initiative aligns with the Chhattisgarh government’s vision to enhance the historical and religious significance of the Bhoramdev Temple complex. The project will feature comprehensive infrastructure upgrades and visitor facilities, along with the development of a tribal corridor and a convention centre. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai confirmed that the Bhoramdev Corridor project has been approved under the Central Government’s Swadesh Darshan Yojana, with ₹148 crore sanctioned for its implementation.

Alongside this heritage initiative, Chhattisgarh is rapidly converting investment commitments into tangible outcomes. Since November 2024, a total of 219 projects across 18 sectors, amounting to investments of ₹7.83 lakh crore, are under implementation across 26 districts. These projects are expected to generate employment for more than 1.5 lakh people, marking one of the state’s most dynamic investment phases and reflecting a shift from commitment-driven summits to execution-focused governance.
