The Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA) has announced a call for bids to design, supply, test, install, and maintain 10 metric ton solar cold storage units. This initiative aims to provide farmers with sustainable cold storage solutions, enhancing the preservation of agricultural products.
Interested parties have until July 8, 2024, to submit their bids. The bids will be opened on the same day, ensuring a swift evaluation process. Successful bidders are required to maintain the solar cold storage units for a period of five years.
A notable incentive for this project is a 50% subsidy, making it an attractive opportunity for companies specializing in renewable energy and agricultural technology. The subsidy aims to encourage wider participation and support the adoption of solar technology in farming.
Applicants must pay a document fee of ₹5,000 and an earnest money deposit of ₹500,000 to participate in the bidding process. These fees ensure serious contenders and help cover administrative costs.
This project reflects BREDA's commitment to promoting renewable energy solutions in Bihar, aiming to boost the agricultural sector with eco-friendly and efficient technologies.
