NTPC Invites Bids for Major Wind Project in Karnataka

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. has announced a call for bids to develop a 1,000 MW wind energy project in Bellary, Karnataka. The scope includes design, engineering, and installation, excluding wind turbine generators. Interested parties must submit bids by July 16, 2024.

The project demands significant expertise, requiring bidders to have managed land arrangements and micro-siting for wind projects with a cumulative capacity of at least 40 MW.

This initiative aligns with NTPC's ongoing efforts to bolster renewable energy, following a recent 500 MW solar project tender in Rajasthan.
