Bridging the Gap: Northern Railway Invites Bids for New Rail Link in Punjab

Northern Railway is currently inviting bids for the construction of viaducts, major and minor bridges, and other associated infrastructure in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. This project aims to establish a new railway line connecting Kartoli in Punjab to the Talwara block section of the Nangal Dam-Talwara new Broad Gauge (BG) rail link.

The comprehensive scope of work encompasses earthwork, cutting/filling, blanketing, viaduct construction, major and minor bridges, Road Under Bridges (RUBs), protective structures, and other related activities within the Punjab region, specifically spanning from kilometer point 70.750 to 77.175 (a distance of 6.425 km) in connection with the Nangal Dam-Talwara new BG rail link.

The contract, valued at Rs 305.08 crore, comes with a completion timeline of 18 months. Interested parties are required to submit their bids by the closing date of 12 February 2024.
