Chandigarh Unlocks Phase 3: 147 Plots Up for Grabs

The long-awaited development of Industrial Area Phase 3 in Chandigarh is poised to provide a significant economic uplift to the city.

The UT administration plans to auction 140 industrial plots beginning in April next year, with plot sizes ranging from one to four kanals. Conceived more than two decades ago, Phase 3 is envisioned as a hub for non-polluting, high-value industries, including information technology, biotechnology, electronics, nanotechnology, and automotive components. It will also accommodate enterprises in hospitality, finance, banking, and handicrafts.

The project is expected to drive industrial expansion and generate employment opportunities in the region. Deputy Commissioner and UT Estate Officer Nishant Yadav noted, “There are 140 plots up for grabs in Phase 3 and seven in Phase 2. In Phase 3, only non-polluting industries will be allowed. Layout zoning will be completed soon, and we will start auctions in the first week of April.”
