KMEW Secures Major ₹80.69 Crore Contract from IWAI

Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works (KMEW) has been awarded a contract by the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) for the design, construction, and supply of 12 specialised vessels.

Valued at ₹80.69 crore, the contract includes six work boats and six accommodation boats, to be delivered over a 20-month timeline. The project underscores KMEW’s expanding role in strengthening India’s inland waterway infrastructure, particularly in the domain of vessel manufacturing.

The vessels are intended to support IWAI’s operational and logistical functions—ranging from navigation assistance and crew accommodation to various field-level tasks across the inland water transport network.

This contract win further enhances KMEW’s order book and strengthens its revenue visibility over the next two years, reaffirming its technical competence and execution capabilities in delivering high-value marine infrastructure projects.
