Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL), along with its joint venture partner, has secured a major contract worth approximately ₹719 crore for an elevated Metro rail project in Thane, Maharashtra.
The new order strengthens KPIL’s footprint in India’s expanding urban transportation sector, particularly in metro rail infrastructure. Known for its expertise in power transmission and distribution (T&D) and civil infrastructure, the company said the project will support its growth in the urban mobility segment. The order also underscores KPIL’s diversified order book and strong execution capabilities, positioning it well for sustained growth.
Earlier, KPIL had secured additional contracts valued at ₹2,003 crore across sectors including buildings, factories, and power transmission, both in India and overseas. The company’s growing focus on urban mobility projects reflects rising demand for sustainable and efficient infrastructure solutions in India’s rapidly urbanising cities.
