Brigade Hotel Ventures Ltd. (BHVL), the second-largest private owner of chain-affiliated hotels in South India, has signed a landmark multi-property agreement with Marriott International to develop six new hotels totaling 940 rooms across Chennai, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, and Vaikom Island.
The expansion will feature five Marriott Bonvoy brands: The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott, and Fairfield by Marriott. The upcoming properties include:
Courtyard by Marriott Chennai World Trade Center – 45 rooms, expected by FY 2027
Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru International Airport – 224 rooms, by FY 2028
Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Brigade Valencia – 151 rooms, by FY 2028
The Ritz-Carlton Vaikom Island – 70 luxury villas, by FY 2029
JW Marriott Chennai OMR – 250 rooms, by FY 2030
Thiruvananthapuram Marriott Hotel World Trade Center – 200 rooms, by FY 2030
With these additions, BHVL’s Marriott portfolio will expand to eight hotels with a total of 1,388 keys. Executive Chairman M.R. Jaishankar noted that the projects reflect the company’s strong confidence in the long-term growth of India’s hospitality sector and its commitment to creating high-quality destinations for both business and leisure travelers.
