NTPC has invited bids for the balance works related to the barrage and desilting chamber – open works at the Tapovan Vishnugad Hydro Electric Power Project (4x130 MW), located in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand.
The scope includes the completion of civil, structural, and associated construction activities for the barrage and desilting chamber—critical components of the project infrastructure. This tender marks a significant step in NTPC’s renewable energy strategy, aimed at leveraging the hydropower potential of the Alaknanda River basin to deliver clean and sustainable energy.
The development is essential for improving project readiness, enabling efficient water flow management, and supporting the optimal operation of the hydroelectric plant. It also reflects NTPC’s ongoing commitment to strengthening India’s hydropower infrastructure as part of its broader energy transition goals.
The last date for bid submission is 23 October 2025.
