Power Move: Waaree Renewable Lands 300 MW Solar Contract

Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL) has secured an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for a 300 MW/450 MWp ground-mounted solar power project, further strengthening its order book and presence in the renewable energy sector.

The company has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from its subsidiary, Sunsational Power Private Limited (SPPL), for the execution of the project. The scope of work encompasses end-to-end EPC services, including design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of the solar power facility.

In addition to project execution, WRTL will provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services for a period of two years after the project's completion, ensuring efficient performance and operational reliability during the initial phase of operations.

According to the company, the project is scheduled for completion during FY2026–27 in line with the agreed contractual timeline. The order, with an aggregate capacity of 300 MW/450 MWp, represents a significant addition to WRTL’s renewable energy portfolio and underscores its capabilities in delivering utility-scale solar infrastructure projects.

A subsidiary of the Waaree Group, WRTL serves as the group’s dedicated solar EPC arm and is actively involved in the development, financing, ownership, and operation of solar energy assets. Headquartered in Mumbai, the company focuses on providing integrated solar solutions, particularly for commercial and industrial customers, while expanding its footprint across multiple renewable energy markets.
