Powering Up: SJVN Adds 100 MW to Bikaner Mega Solar Project

SJVN has achieved advanced commissioning at its 1 GW Bikaner solar project in Rajasthan, with its wholly owned subsidiary, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), commencing commercial operations of an additional 100.56 MW.

With this latest addition, the cumulative commissioned capacity of the project has reached 830.70 MW, while the remaining capacity is expected to be operational in the near term. The project has secured power purchase agreements (PPAs) for its entire capacity, ensuring the supply of clean electricity to Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand. Major offtakers include Uttarakhand Power Corporation for 200 MW, Jammu and Kashmir Power Corporation for 300 MW, and Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Services Limited for 500 MW.

The milestone highlights SJVN’s continued focus on expanding renewable energy infrastructure and supporting India’s clean energy transition.
