Salasar Techno Powers Up with ₹232 Crore UPPTCL Contract

Salasar Techno Engineering has secured a ₹232 crore turnkey contract from Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation (UPPTCL) for the construction of a 400 kV transmission line.

Awarded in November 2025, the project involves the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the 130-km Banda–Chitrakoot transmission line. Upon completion, the project is expected to enhance grid stability, reduce transmission losses, and support Uttar Pradesh’s rising power demand driven by industrial growth and urbanisation.

Commenting on the development, Managing Director Shashank Agarwal highlighted Salasar Techno Engineering’s robust execution capabilities and its commitment to meeting the evolving requirements of the transmission and distribution sector. The project is considered vital for ensuring a reliable power supply, supporting long-term economic growth, and aligning with national initiatives to modernise power infrastructure and strengthen regional energy security.
