The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new 125-key greenfield Ginger hotel in Satara, Maharashtra, marking a strategic move to strengthen its presence in high-growth regional markets.
“Satara’s blend of educational institutions, healthcare infrastructure, and business activity presents consistent demand, making it a strong fit for the Ginger brand,” the company stated. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, added, “This signing is in line with IHCL’s strategy of expanding into emerging cities. We are pleased to partner with Vedantika Raje Bhonsle for this project.”
With this addition, IHCL’s footprint in Maharashtra will increase to 43 hotels, including 16 currently under development. The new property reflects IHCL’s continued focus on scaling its portfolio in Tier-II and Tier-III cities with growing commercial and institutional demand, further enhancing Ginger’s reach across India.
