The ₹1,396 Crore Upgrade: BMRCL Invites Phase 3 Bids

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has invited bids for the construction of double-decker structures as part of its Phase 3 metro expansion.

The project covers a 5.408-km stretch from chainage 6.326 km to 11.734 km and is estimated to cost ₹1,396.1 crore. The scope of work includes the construction of four double-decker metro stations at Hoskerehalli, Dwaraka Nagar, Mysore Road, and Nagarbhavi Circle. The project is expected to be completed within 48 months.

The proposed double-decker configuration is aimed at enhancing capacity and operational efficiency of Bengaluru’s metro network to meet the city’s rapidly growing urban transport demand. The deadline for bid submission has been set for February 25, 2026.
