Sarovar Hotels, in collaboration with Prime Land Estates, has announced the signing of a new 100-key property—Sarovar Portico Gwalior—marking a strategic step forward in the group’s expansion across Central India.
Slated to open in 2026, the hotel will be part of the Garden City township development in Gwalior. It is designed to blend modern hospitality amenities with the city’s rich historical and cultural legacy, appealing to both business and leisure travelers.
“We are delighted to bring Sarovar’s trusted hospitality to Gwalior, a city steeped in history and culture. This signing underscores our strategic focus on expanding in Central India, where we see significant potential for tourism and business travel,” said Rajesh Ranjan, Senior Vice President – Development, Sarovar Hotels.
The announcement aligns with Sarovar Hotels’ ongoing expansion drive in 2025, which includes multiple new signings across India. The Gwalior property will further strengthen the brand’s footprint in Madhya Pradesh and cater to the region’s growing hospitality demand.
