Zon Hotels Mumbai, a joint venture between the SanRaj Group and the DGS Group, has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with IHG Hotels & Resorts for the development of a new luxury hotel in Mumbai’s western suburbs.
The proposed project envisages a 350-room luxury hotel, likely to be operated under a premium IHG brand such as InterContinental. The partnership represents a significant move toward expanding the presence of global hospitality brands in Mumbai’s rapidly growing business corridors.
The MoU was formalised by Sudeep Jain, Managing Director – South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, and Rajdip Gupta, Director, Zon Hotels Mumbai. The project is being promoted by Zon Hotels’ directors Sandip Gupta, Rajdip Gupta, Ishwar Shukla, and Rohit Shukla.
Commenting on the development, Sandip Gupta and Rajdip Gupta said that Mumbai’s western region is emerging as a major business hub and that the project aligns with their vision of creating world-class hospitality assets. The hotel is expected to cater to both business and leisure travellers and reflects the increasing trend of global hospitality collaborations in India.
