A Flowing Future: Pulivendula Water Grid Nears Completion

Progress on the Pulivendula mega water grid project in Andhra Pradesh is advancing rapidly, with approximately 96% of the work—valued at around Rs 426 crore—now complete. Launched under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and Amarajeevi Jaladhara schemes with an estimated cost of Rs 480 crore, the initiative aims to provide reliable drinking water to 5.50 lakh residents across seven mandals. Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan has driven the project's priority status by securing additional funding and overseeing its implementation. With reservoir and tank construction nearing completion, trial water supplies are slated to begin shortly for 24 habitations in the Lingala mandal.
