Agnikul & ICEYE Ally to Anchor Global SAR Manufacturing in India

Indian space technology startup Agnikul Cosmos has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICEYE, a global leader in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite technology. The collaboration focuses on accelerating satellite launches and advancing domestic SAR capabilities within India.

Under the terms of the agreement, ICEYE plans to investigate the feasibility of setting up localized SAR satellite manufacturing units in India. Concurrently, the company will look to leverage Agnikul’s advanced launch vehicles and ground infrastructure to deploy its future missions.

Srinath Ravichandran, Co-founder of Agnikul Cosmos, highlighted that the alliance extends far beyond traditional launch contracts. The ultimate objective is to establish an end-to-end, integrated SAR intelligence ecosystem in India by marrying Agnikul's launch capabilities with ICEYE's proven technology, ultimately unlocking a wide array of high-impact downstream applications.
