Army Picks L&T's 'Sindhu' BvS10 for All-Terrain Operations

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a contract from the Indian Army to supply the BvS10 Sindhu, an all-terrain armoured vehicle.

The vehicles will be manufactured at L&T’s Armoured Systems Complex in Hazira, with technical and design support from BAE Systems Hägglunds, the original developer of the BvS10 platform. The agreement also includes a full logistics support package covering deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle services.

The BvS10 Sindhu is an enhanced variant of the BvS10, engineered to operate in challenging environments such as high altitudes, deserts, marshlands, and amphibious terrain. This contract strengthens India’s defence capabilities by boosting the Army’s operational versatility across diverse landscapes.
