Bandra-Dharavi Flyover's First Phase Nearing Completion

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has reiterated its commitment to completing key infrastructure projects on schedule, with Phase 1 of the Bandra-Dharavi flyover expected to be completed by 30 November 2025.

During a recent site inspection, Additional Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar confirmed that 90% of the work is already complete. Once this phase is finished, two new southbound lanes will open, offering direct access to the Mahim Causeway flyover. Officials have been instructed to strictly adhere to timelines and ensure all necessary approvals are secured in advance.

The flyover is part of the broader Mithi River widening initiative and is being constructed in two phases to minimize any obstruction to water flow.

Commissioner Bangar also reviewed progress on other critical projects:

Worli Flyover: Currently 30% complete, this structure will connect E Moses Road with Dr Annie Besant Road. Target completion: December 2026.

Bandra Skywalk: 80% complete and scheduled to open by 31 December 2025, in compliance with Bombay High Court directives.

These developments are part of BMC’s ongoing efforts to improve connectivity and urban infrastructure across Mumbai.
