In a significant step toward advancing the MR-10 road project, the Indore Development Authority (IDA) has approved the construction of high-rise apartments to relocate affected families. The housing will be developed under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 on a 1.613-hectare plot (FP-422) within Town Planning Scheme (TPS)-08, IDA CEO RP Ahirwar confirmed.
At its recent board meeting chaired by Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh, the IDA also cleared several key infrastructure tenders. These include:
Rs 48.81 crore for a rail overbridge between Laxmibai Nagar and Mangalia stations on MR-10
Rs 3.93 crore for shifting HT and LT lines for a 60-metre-wide road
Rs 1.90 crore for removing line obstructions along master plan roads in TPS-4 (Nipania and Kanadiya)
Approval for a 12-metre-wide link road connecting Ring Road to MR-11, including street lighting and utility relocation
These developments aim to boost urban connectivity and accelerate the MR-10 project while ensuring fair rehabilitation of displaced residents.
