Mumbai's Water Future: 3000 mm Water Main Tender Issued

The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) has issued a tender for the design and construction of a 3,000 mm diameter mild steel (MS) water main under Package I of its major water infrastructure initiative.

The project involves connecting the tunnel shaft at Gundavali (Bhiwandi) to the Jambhivali Anchor Block, ultimately linking to the dome near WYE Junction (Modaksagar). The scope includes detailed engineering, supply, fabrication, external/internal coating, laying, jointing, testing, and commissioning of the water main.

The selected contractor will be responsible for end-to-end execution, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, safety protocols, quality standards, and coordination with regulatory authorities for required approvals.

The last date for submission of bids is 22 August 2025.
