The Maharashtra Legislature Secretariat has greenlit a Rs 1,002.76 crore expansion project for the Nagpur Vidhan Bhavan. Divided into two components—a Rs 662.98 crore new legislature and annex building (Part-I) and a Rs 339.78 crore 14-storey administrative tower (Part-II)—the revised cost is notably lower than the original Rs 1,119 crore estimate. Recommended by a high-powered committee for Cabinet approval, the project will soon move to the tendering phase handled by the MSIDC to modernize the legislative complex.
