The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has cleared new investments worth ₹34,000 crore across multiple sectors, formally approving proposals earlier recommended by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB).
The investments cover clean energy, manufacturing, tourism, infrastructure, and other key sectors, and are expected to create around 35,000 jobs in the state.
The Cabinet meeting, held in Amaravati on Tuesday and chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, approved a total of 80 agenda items.
Among the major decisions, the Cabinet also cleared a proposal to raise the retirement age of employees in public sector units, societies, and corporations from 60 to 62 years.
