The Polavaram Essential Works & Protection Portfolio 2026

The Irrigation & Command Area Development (CAD) Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, has invited bids for the preparation of designs and execution of essential contingent works under the Polavaram Irrigation Project.

The scope of work includes investigation and survey activities, construction of a right-side diversion road from Polavaram to the spillway, and development of left-side connecting roads from Gap-I to the PIPLMC. It also covers the construction of protection works for the AGLB, including safeguarding the Gandiposamma Talli Temple. Additional components include the construction of a spillway control room, establishment of an electrical substation, and execution of other ancillary works associated with the irrigation project.

The contract includes operations and maintenance (O&M) services for a period of five years, along with a defect liability period of two years. The project is intended to strengthen regional infrastructure and improve irrigation management.

The bid submission deadline is 29 January 2026.
