Google's Ananta: Bengaluru's 1.6 Million Sq Ft Tech Titan Rises

On 19 February 2025, Google inaugurated its new office, Ananta, a sprawling 1.6-million-square-foot facility located in Mahadevapura, Bengaluru. Developed by Bagmane Tech Park, the project took six years to complete, followed by 11 months of customisation specifically for Google. The state-of-the-art office accommodates over 5,000 employees, contributing to Google's workforce of 10,000 people in India, which is its largest hub outside the U.S.

Anand Rangarajan, VP at Google DeepMind, highlighted India's pivotal role in shaping Google's products for both global and local markets. The Ananta campus will host teams from key Google services, including Android, Search, Play, Pay, Cloud, Maps, and DeepMind.

Preeti Lobana, Google's VP for India, underscored the country's growing significance in the global tech landscape, with a strong focus on startups and digital public infrastructure.
