KIMS Plots Expansion with New Chennai Hospital

Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) has signed a long-term leave and license agreement with Andhra Mahila Sabha for a parcel of land in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The land, measuring approximately 1.168 acres (21.19 grounds), is located on Dr. Durgabai Deshmukh Road in Raja Annamalai Puram. The agreement forms part of KIMS’s plan to establish a super-specialty hospital in the city, aimed at delivering advanced medical care and strengthening Tamil Nadu’s healthcare infrastructure.

KIMS’s entry into Chennai marks a strategic expansion into a new geography, enabling the group to offer specialised treatments and comprehensive healthcare services to a wider population. The proposed hospital is also expected to play a significant role in enhancing the regional medical ecosystem by creating employment opportunities and supporting allied healthcare services.

According to the company, the project aligns with its broader mission of providing high-quality, world-class medical care across India.
