Brookfield Asset Management has announced a landmark investment of $12 billion (₹1.1 lakh crore) in Andhra Pradesh, focusing on renewable energy, battery and pumped storage projects, solar manufacturing, and other decarbonization initiatives.
Beyond green energy, the firm will also invest across sectors such as data centers, commercial real estate, global capability centers (GCCs), infrastructure, and ports.
Speaking at the CII Partnership Summit 2025, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh said the investment will solidify the state’s position as a premier global destination for sustainable and transformative investments.
The commitment is expected to boost infrastructure, accelerate the state’s renewable energy goals, generate substantial employment, and strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s emergence as a hub for innovation and sustainable growth.
