NTPC REL Wins 70,000 TPA Green Ammonia Contract

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL), has won the bid for the entire 70,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) capacity of green ammonia in an e-reverse auction conducted by SECI on 04 August 2025.

The allocation is part of SECI’s larger tender for 7.24 lakh TPA of green ammonia across 13 locations. NTPC REL’s awarded capacity will supply Krishana Phoschem in Meghnagar, Madhya Pradesh, at a discovered price of Rs 51.80 per kg.

This win significantly advances NTPC REL’s presence in the green hydrogen and ammonia space, reinforcing its role in India’s clean energy transition. It also enhances the company’s position in meeting domestic industrial demand and exploring future export markets for green fuels.
