TKIL Industries (formerly thyssenkrupp Industries India) has entered into a strategic partnership with Swiss company SoHHytec to set up a green hydrogen plant in India, leveraging advanced artificial photosynthesis technology.
The innovative photo-electrolysis process enables the production of green hydrogen using renewable energy sources such as solar and wind, targeting use in industrial applications. Under the agreement, TKIL will act as SoHHytec’s exclusive partner in India for equipment manufacturing and installation.
TKIL is currently in talks with major sectors—including steel and oil marketing companies—to develop green hydrogen facilities on an EPC basis (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction).
This initiative supports the goals of India’s National Hydrogen Mission, which aims to achieve 5 million tonnes per annum of green hydrogen capacity by 2030 and reduce the country's reliance on fossil fuels. The partnership is expected to deliver cost-effective and sustainable hydrogen solutions to India’s expanding renewable energy market within the coming year.
