Kernex Microsystems (India) Ltd has secured a ₹100.53 crore contract (inclusive of GST) from Chennai’s Integral Coach Factory (ICF) to supply and install onboard KAVACH safety systems.
Under this contract, Kernex will manage the end-to-end deployment—including supply, electrical system integration, testing, and commissioning—of the indigenous automatic train protection equipment. All installations will comply with RDSO Specification No. RDSO/SPN/196/2020 Version 4.0 or the latest applicable standards. The agreement also includes long-term warranty support and a comprehensive annual maintenance contract (CAMC).
This order consolidates Kernex’s role in modernizing India's railway signaling network as Indian Railways continues to scale the deployment of KAVACH across ICF-manufactured trainsets to improve operational safety.
